La base del brano \u00e8 costituita da un frammento tratto da una composizione di un amica (At the Abyss di Alex Shapiro), dilatato dalla sua durata originale di 5 secondi fino a pi\u00f9 di 18 minuti. Questo \u00e8 stato il template della composizione, il sentiero da seguire e a cui adattarsi, trovando una propria strada fra evocazioni e connessioni.<br \/>\nIl titolo \u00e8 tratto dalla sezione finale del poema di Eliot &#8220;The Wasteland&#8221; (Terra Desolata).<\/p>\n<p>A new work by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niwo.com\/steve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steve Layton<\/a> (composer based in Seattle, born 1956) that I like.<br \/>\nThe composer says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A &#8220;journey&#8221; or &#8220;meditation&#8221; similar to this year&#8217;s earlier O, Hebdomeros. A tiny snippet of a recording (5 seconds from the second movement of my composer-friend Alex Shapiro&#8217;s At the Abyss) was stretched to something over 18 minutes. This became the template for the composition, a kind of path that I had to accept, finding my way through, making whatever evocations and connections appear somehow form a thread of their own sense and meaning. The title is taken from the final section of T.S.
