This is about a site inspired to an italian book called “Era una notte buia e tempestosa” (It Was A Dark And Stormy Night). The first words of the Snoopy’s romance become the title of a book that collects the first words from 1430 famous books.
\nNow there is a site called “Incipit<\/a>” that collects the incipit of 3197 books, many in original language with italian translation.<\/p>\n

Anni fa mi sono molto divertito con un libro dall’improbabile titolo di “Era una notte buia e tempestosa” (chi si ricorda Snoopy?), che altro non era che una raccolta di 1430 incipit di altrettanti romanzi (per chi fosse interessato al libro, i curatori sono Papi e Presutto, l’editore Baldini Castoldi, collana Le formiche, prezzo circa \u20ac 12).
\nQualche giorno fa Nicola mi ha segnalato un sito chiaramente ispirato a quel libro: “Incipit<\/a>” raccoglie le prime parole di 3197 opere letterarie di 1294 autori, molte delle quali in lingua originale con traduzione a fronte.<\/p>\n

Qual’\u00e8 il vostro incipit preferito? Il mio resta sempre “Call me Ishmael!” (anche se l\u2019incipit di \u201cLe Due Citt\u00e0\u201d, pur di altro tipo, \u00e8 incredibile).
\nE i finali? Nessuno ha pensato a raccogliere l’ultimo periodo dei romanzi? Cos\u00ec di brutto mi viene in mente il finale pi\u00f9 definitivo possibile: “Inutile aggiungere una sola parola”, Kerouac, Big Sur.<\/p>\n
